Thoughts on Crying

I've learned a lot in the 7 days of being a dad. One of them is what to do with a crying baby - or at least our crying baby. With Collin you can stall. You can walk around, you can rock him, sing to him, hold him 600 different ways. The best one for me is to hold him like a football and it's 3rd and 1. I don't know why this works, but when I hold him like this it calms him down. But what I've really learned is that all of this is just stalling and you might get 20 or 30 minutes out of it - maybe long enough for Andrea to finish showering or eating. So far what he really wants, every time, is a boob and nothing else is going to make him happy, but once you hook him up to that boob. All is right in the world again!
